SHANNON REED PORTRAIT

Camino Pack

Shannon Reed

Well - it's not pretty, and it's about 5 pounds heavier than it should be (about 19 - eek) - but it's going to have to do for now because I'm leaving tomorrow. I set qualms aside long ago when I realized I'd be lugging around more beauty products than the average pilgrim (I'm not about to let my skin and hair suffer, knowwhatimean?) so I knew my pack would run heavy. I've put on a few extra pounds as a result of weight training (it made me so freaking hungry!), but that actually works in my favor. If all goes well, my pack and I should lose weight together along the way. Unfortunately, the steep and relentless climb over the Pyrenees happens on the first couple of days.   ")

I won't be able to blog while I'm traveling, but I'm sure I'll have lots of pictures and stories to share when I get home. If we're friends or family, then you know I'll be connecting with you along the way through Facebook and Instagram.

My flight leaves in just over 24 hours - I'm feeling really out of sorts and anxious - but not anxious; I can't place a finger on what I'm actually feeling, but I'm ready to get on the plane and quit worrying about what I have or haven't done to get ready.

See ya on the other side, mis amigos! ")
