Shannon Reed

I came across this image the other day and it made me so happy. This was the second time Kari and I worked together; I was still trying to figure out how to use my camera - a little Canon Rebel - and make sense of this whole digital photography world.  I'm so grateful to and for Kari - for her patience and talent; I really lucked out when our paths converged.

There were a few images from this series that actually went on to show in different exhibits around Denver, but I didn't use this one for anything for whatever reason.  Anyway, I remember how I painstakingly worked on the other images to remove her scratches and bruises (she wrecked her mountain bike, if memory serves).  I also tried to minimize the appearance of her leg hair and dirty nails in the other images.  What a fool; she was absolutely perfect just the way she was.
